With so many products available, and hundreds of people blogging about any given topic, you can easily come up with all sorts of creative ways to save energy and money.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s some ideas we have for you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Put Frozen Food in Your Fridge the Night Before You Need It<\/strong><br \/>\nOkay, so this is a small one. But it\u2019s definitely valid. If you\u2019re going to have steak for dinner tomorrow, take it out of the freezer and put it in your fridge.<br \/>\nThat way, you save energy by not keeping it in the freezer. And you won\u2019t have to spend other energy defrosting it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feel Cold? Exercise! <\/strong><br \/>\nWhat better way to get your blood pumping and going than by exercising? Avoid turning on the heat.<br \/>\nAnxious people should pay special attention to this. Anxiety causes your blood vessels to constrict, leading to you feeling cold, or even numb in your extremities. This can even happen in the middle of summer.<br \/>\nSo exercise instead. It keeps you healthy and out of the doctor\u2019s office.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Put Your Microwave to Use<\/strong><br \/>\nAdmittedly, not our most creative tip on this list. But, your microwave does use much less energy than your oven. So whenever possible, use it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Have a Neighborhood Raw Food Competition<\/strong><br \/>\nWho do you suppose could make the most delicious meal without using a single electric appliance? It\u2019s time to find out when you host the next raw food competition in your neighborhood.<br \/>\nYou\u2019ll also build relationships with your neighbors. So that means if you want a favor from them in the future, you\u2019ll be more likely to get it.<br \/>\nAnd of course, you save energy by not having to cook food!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Have a Family Dinner in the Dark<\/strong><br \/>\nThe kids will get a kick out of this one. Use only candles to illuminate your dining room.<br \/>\nOr, use it as an opportunity to create romance with your spouse. Either way, it\u2019s a small thing your family will enjoy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keep Your Cookware as Efficient as Possible<\/strong><br \/>\nUse copper-bottomed pots and pans to make the most efficient use of your stove\u2019s heat. Inside your oven, use ceramic cookware.<br \/>\nYou lose about 50% of the heat doing it any other way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Did That Stir Your Imagination? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Look, these are just ideas you can use (or not use). But, they also might get you thinking in a certain direction that involves creativity.<\/p>\n<p>When you really get down to it, there\u2019s dozens of ways to save energy.
